ARMENIAN PRODUCTION EXPORT TO INCREASE BY $ 300 MILLION WHEN ARMENIAN-TURKISH BORDER OPENED, STATED WB CHIEF ECONOMIST

If the Armenian-Turkish border is opened, the volume of the export of the Armenian production will increase by $300 million. The chief economist of the World Bank on Armenia Lev Freinkman has stated that. According to him, Armenia’s joining the World Trade Organization will let more effectively lobby the issue of raising of the blockade by Turkey on the international scene. At that he noted that the raising of the blockade itself would not have influence on the investment atmosphere in Armenia. According to Freinkman, to improve the investment climate, it is necessary to establish dialog with private sector.
