Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, His Holiness Aram I met with the United Nations special envoy for the Syria crisis, Staffan de Mistura in Geneva, Switzerland.
At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of concern for Syrian-Armenians.
The pontiff discussed similar problems with representatives of interchurch organizations.
Also, Aram I met with the president of Armenofas humanitarian foundation Teny Simonyan, with both of them stressing the importance of providing aid to Syrian-Armenians.
Prior to departing for Geneva, the Catholicos met with Petros Terzian, President of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund in France.
