Georgia’s proposal on construction of the Novorossiysk-Supsa-Jeyhan oil pipeline, the realization of which is beneficial for Armenia as well, is actively discussed in Russia. As “Mediamax” agency reports, the Georgian International Oil Corporation chair Georgy Chanturia has stated that. If the project is realized, Armenia is guaranteed to have necessary resources for its thermoelectric power stations from Russia and the issue on shutdown of the Armenian nuclear power plant might be put on the agenda, he noted.
