The Armenian newspapers of Turkey stated about next case of persecutions of the Turkish authorities towards an Armenian. As “Arminfo” agency reports, Armenian businessman Victor Bedoyan, who had arrived from the US and established hotel business in Turkey, had to leave Turkey a year later. The point is that the Turkish community did not like the Armenian name of Bedoyan’s hotel- “Vardan”. Later, as “Radical” Turkish newspaper stated, the corresponding bodies of Turkey allegedly had found some violations when examining the hotel documentation. Bedoyan went to the law and then renamed the hotel “Grand Van Hotel”, but his misfortune did not end. Finally the Armenian businessman had to sell his hotel and return to the US.
