Armenia welcomes settlement of all conflicts via peaceful means and is against military operations, which may negatively tell on the development of the entire region. Armenian parliament chairman Armen Khachatrian stated it when receiving charge d’affaires of Iraq in Armenia Tarik Yahya due to the beginning of his diplomatic mission in Yerevan. The importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation and intensification of the Armenian-Iraqi friendship group activities, in particular in organizing humanitarian air flights, was noted. T.Yahya passed the Armenian National Assembly speaker the special gratitude of the Iraqi parliament for the efforts made by the Armenian highest legislative body in contributing to the Iraqi people and state in the present difficult situation for the country. It was noted that the visit of the Iraqi minister of trade to Armenia was planned in the future and would activate the Armenian-Iraqi economic cooperation.
