The Russian Armenian Diaspora has an important role in the development of the Moscow-Yerevan trade and economic relations. Yesterday Russian foreign minister Igor Ivanov stated that speaking at the Moscow conference “Armenians in the world on the frontiers of centuries. Current issues in international relations”. About 2 million Armenians live in Russia at present, Ivanov noted. The Armenian Diaspora is a bridge between Yerevan and those Armenian citizens residing outside Armenia, stated the Russian foreign minister and added, Russian MFA would support the practical activities of the Russian Armenian Diaspora in future.
