By the end of the year an official trade representation will open under the Armenian embassy in Moscow. Armenian ambassador to Russia Armen Smbatian told “Arminfo” agency it. In his words, the decision is conditioned by the need for a center functioning exactly in the sphere of commercial and economic relations. One of the best pavilions in the territory of the main exhibition center in Moscow will be placed under Armenia’s disposal and Armenian production beginning with heavy industry products up to jewelry will constantly be exhibited there. The trade representation will engage not only in relations with Moscow, but also with the regions. On the whole, some deceleration in the sphere of developing economic relations with Russia is visible, Armen Smbatian noted adding there is some progress made recently and according to estimates of specialists 12% of trade turnover growth will be accomplished by the end of the year. “The base for developing economic relations is very solid and all necessary preconditions for that are present. This is true not only of relations between Yerevan and Moscow, but also regional structures. I think we will succeed,” – Armen Smbatian stressed.
