RESIDING IN MOSCOW ARMENIAN REFUGEES FROM AZERBAIJAN TO RESETTLE IN US

The US Department of State has offered a program of resettlement of the Armenian refugees from Azerbaijan, who at present live at Vostryukov migration center in Moscow, to US. The first stage of the program is being accomplished now: questionnaires are being distributed among pretenders to emigration. As reported by Russian sources making reference to the chairman of the committee on refugee affairs under the government of Moscow Sergey Smidovich, the problem of the Armenian refugees is that they are trying to stay in Moscow at any price and refuse the migration service any offers to provide accommodation outside the capital. These people live in the migration center not having either Russian citizenship or refugee or forced migrant status. Smidovich considers the US offer to be the best way out of the originated situation.
