Rumors about making a decision by September 13 to solve the question on withdrawal of the Russian military base from the territory near Akhalkalaki Georgian town caused disturbance in Samtskhe-Javakhetia region of the country. Representatives of a number of social and political organizations of the region have called upon people to undertake actions of protest. According to the statement of the initiative group organizing the actions, a big meeting of protest against withdrawal of the Russian military base from the territory will be held in the center of Akhalkalaki September 12. As reported by “A-info” agency, social and political organizations of Samtskhe-Javakhetia have simultaneously addressed the local regional administration leadership suggesting to convoke a special session on this occasion.
