CE INFORMATION OFFICE OPENED IN YEREVAN

The Council of Europe (CE) Information Office opened in Yerevan today. In the words of officers of the CE Armenian representation, the goal of the newly opened office is to inform the country population of the Council of Europe activities and issues being discussed by the CE. As Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanian stated at the opening ceremony, the event will convey a new impulse to the process of integration of Armenia into Europe. It should be reminded that Armenia became a CE member in early 2001.
