The European Union and the entire world understand that there are no alternatives to the democratic elections in Nagorno Karabakh. Head of the Council of Europe Armenian delegation Hovhannes Hovhannisian told “Arka” agency about it. In his words, “the public should be governable and there is no other democratic way of doing this except via elections.” “Well conducted elections will prove that the people of Karabakh adhere to democratic development,” – Hovhannisian said stressing that as distinct from other unrecognized republics, “NKR is the single state, during the 12 years of whose existence no international organization or observer had serious reproofs against it.” He also reported that after the elections he would make a report to present it to the Council of Europe.
