Football: drawing brings Armenia against Turkey once again

A drawing, which was held in Orcus, Denmark, to determine participants of 2011 European Football Championship qualifying games between youth teams brought together Armenian, Turkish, Swiss, Irish, Georgian and Estonian teams.

Qualifying games schedule is not yet completed. Yet the first meetings are known to be scheduled for March 28-29, 2009, while the final games will be played on Sept. 7, 2010.

Armenian youth soccer team has already played Turkey at a qualifying game for 2009 European Championship. During a home match that was played prior to both countries’ national teams meeting, Armenian team, losing with a minimal score, earned victory scoring two goals, with a few minutes remaining. In a return game, Turkey managed to gain revenge scoring 4 goals.
