Eight Georgian veterans of the World War II have been awarded with the Armenian “Marshal Baghramian” medals. As reported in the MFA press service, Armenian ambassador to Georgia Georgi Khosroyev gave the veterans the medals in Tbilisi. It should be noted, the order on “Marshal Baghramian” medal presentation to the eight Georgian veterans, who were in the 89 Armenian division, was signed by Armenian defense minister Serge Sarkisian in May 2002.
