The monument "Armenian Mother", created by the sculptor Vigen Avetis and dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, is being exhibited in the Municipality of Cavriglia in Tuscany, the Armenian Embassy in Italy said in a Facebook post.
The sculptor has created the monument in the image of a mother, who protects and gives directions to her children in the four corners of the world.
Italy has recognized the Armenian Genocide. Moreover, a number of Italian cities have adopted resolutions to express solidarity with the people of Karabakh. The city authorities have also called on the republican authorities to take measures to counter the aggressive policies of Azerbaijan and Turkey.
