In Krasnoarmeysk town near Moscow a mass skirmish between local youth and Armenian diaspora representatives occurred. As reported by “RIA Novosti” agency referring to the internal affairs department of Krasnoarmeysk, the quarrel broke out the previous evening in one of the town cafes. As a result a clash, in which over 30 persons participated, took place in the street. Eight Armenians got injures of different degree of heaviness. They were provided with medical care. The policemen detained two instigators of the disorders. At present the conditions of the happening are being ascertained. The investigation bodies report yet there is no ground to state that those detained are members of extremist groupings. Meanwhile, the Union of Armenians of Russia states that 15 persons including women and children suffered as a result of the incident accompanied by intrusions into Armenian houses.
