Catholicos of all Armenians Garegin II has not yet ascertained his plans regarding the trip to Tbilisi to participate in “Religion in the Caucasus: cooperation for peace” international conference to be held July 16-18. Meanwhile, according to the information provided by “Arminfo” agency, Baku sources have reported that even if the Armenian religious leader arrives in Tbilisi, the bilateral meeting with head of the Spiritual Board of the Caucasus Muslims sheik Allahshukur Pashazade is not planned. Let us note that the conference is devoted to the role of religion in struggle against terrorism. On the completion of the discussions the arrangement participants are expected to come out with a joint statement condemning all manifestations of terrorism, as well as attempts to attach religious nuance to international and other conflicts. The Armenian party does not report anything about the date of holding the Garegin II – Pashazade bilateral meeting yet.
