Armenian grandmaster Zaven Andreasyan came 2nd in Ciudad de Dos Hermanas internet tournament
Gaining maximal 12 points, he was included in the list of grandmasters to play take-away game.
Scoring a victory over Russian’s Mikhail Panarin, Ukraine’s Yuri Hayrapetyan and Bulgaria’s Ivan Cheparinov and Canada’s Anton Kovalev, the Armenian grandmaster suffered a defeat from Ukraine’s Dmitri Kononenko.
The prize fund of the tournament is 7200 euro (2000 euro for the winner, 1300 for the second place and 700 euro for the third place).
