Russian peacekeepers stage humanitarian campaign for Karabakh kids

Russian peacekeepers deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh have held a humanitarian campaign in the village of Machkalashen of Martuni region.

The troops donated stationery sets and school supplies to over 100 children studying in the village school. A similar campaign will be staged in a kindergarten in Stepanakert, Karabakh's capital.

Since the beginning of the year, the military personnel of the Russian peacekeeping contingent have carried out more than 10 humanitarian campaigns for the residents of Karabakh in need.

The peacekeepers were deployed in Karabakh immediately after Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev signed a statement to end the war in Karabakh on November 9, 2020. Under the deal, the Armenian side returned all the seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.
