Armenian Ambassador to Cyprus Tigran Mkrtchyan has revealed that diplomatic missions of the two countries will open in Yerevan and Nicosia in the near future.
According to a statement published on the Facebook page of the Armenian Embassy in Greece, Mkrtchyan made the remarks in a conversation with the chairman of the board of directors of the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation, Michalis Mikhaili.
The ambassador noted that next year Armenia is planning to open a diplomatic office in Cyprus, expressing hope that Cyprus will respond in kind in the near future.
Mkrtchyan also weighed in on the Cyprus-Armenia-Greece cooperation in a trilateral format, noting that a number of meetings have been held in various fields, such as military, political, diaspora, expressing hope that the scope of this cooperation will also expand.
