Armenia can count on the assistance of Lithuania within the framework of the Council of Europe. Lithuanian president stated that at his meeting with Armenian president Robert Kocharian, who is on official visit in Vilnius. The parties assured the two states are loyal to the policy for the European integration and consider it a priority in their foreign policy. There are no impediments to European integration of Armenia and Lithuania, the two states’ leaders noted emphasizing their countries plan to continue to bring their legislations into accord with the European norms. «Cooperation with main European structures is a guarantee of the stability and development of not large countries like Armenia», the head of the Armenian state noted.
