Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will visit Armenia on August 24-25 to attend a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, the press service of the Russian government reported, according to TASS.
The event will take place in the mountain resort of Tsakhkadzor, 50 km from Yerevan. "During the meeting, the heads of government plan to discuss issues of further development of integration processes within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) for the medium and long term. The parties will discuss further improvement of legal mechanisms within the EAEU, strengthening existing formats of interaction with other countries and establishing contacts with potential partners ", the message says.
The event will be held under the auspices of the Russian chairmanship in the EAEU bodies. Earlier, the meeting was announced by the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
The previous meeting of the EAEU Intergovernmental Council was held in June in Sochi. Also this year, the prime ministers of the countries of the union met in February in Kazakhstan.
