IDEA OF COOPERATION BETWEEN ARMENIA AND RUSSIA IN AIR INDUSTRY TAKING CONCRETE FORMS

The idea of cooperation between Armenia and Russia in the sphere of air industry is taking concrete forms. Today this question was discussed in Yerevan in the course of wide membership meeting of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, at which Co-Chair of the Armenian-Russian inter-parliamentary economic commission Nikolay Rizhkov and Secretary General of OKB “Sukhogo” Russian design office Mikhail Poghosian were present. In Rizhkov’s opinion, the cooperation in the sphere of joint production of light planes will do good to Armenia from the perspective of maintaining the scientific potential and development of the country defense complex. In his turn Poghosian expressed confidence that the project of joint production of planes was promising. As President of the Union of local producers Mekhak Safarian told “Arminfo” agency, the plane draft is already passed to “Electropribor” Armenian factory to familiarize with it and organize production of chemical tanks at the enterprise, as well as to “Armelectromash”, at which it is planned to produce the details of the plane fuselage. Safarian noted that OKB “Sukhogo” design office would finance the project.
