STRATEGIC RELATIONS WITH RUSSIA NOT MEAN ARMENIA DOES NOT HAVE TO COOPERATE WITH OTHER COUNTRIES, RA DEFENSE MINISTER STATES

The strategic relations with Russia do not mean that Armenia does not have to cooperate with other countries. Defense minister, secretary of the security council of Armenia Serge Sarkisian has stated that in the course of the round table on perspectives of the development of the armed forces of Armenia. According to him, “along with close relations with Russia, Armenia has to use all the opportunities to guarantee its security”. “The security of Armenia includes several constituents such as the bilateral military cooperation with Russia, the participation in the CSP, the integration into the NATO programs, the Armenian-American cooperation”, Sarkisian has stated. He noted Armenia “is not going to make use of the disagreements of Russia and the USA”.
