Azeri Boxing Team will not participate in World Youth Boxing Championship due in Yerevan on May 23-30.
Azeri Box Federation Vice President Aghajan Abiev stated that Azeri boxers will participate in one of international tournaments instead of Youth Championship due in Yerevan, azerisport.com reported.
“Should Azeri Team decide to participate, we’d be ready to properly receive them. Boxers worldwide are welcome to our tournament,” RA Boxing Federation Vice-President Derenik Gabrielyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.
51 countries have already applied for participation in World Youth Boxing Championship. The greatest number of participants was registered in last years World Championship in Azerbaijan to host 230 boxers from 39 countries.
