Armenia and Azerbaijan have reached agreements on several important points, including the process of border delimitation, which is a crucial step toward a final peace treaty, says Fitch’s credit rating report on Azerbaijan.
However, the report emphasizes that the resolution of remaining issues and their timeline for discussion remain unclear, according to APA.
“Fitch does not anticipate full-scale military escalation of the conflict,” the document says.
On January 16, Armenia’s Foreign Ministry announced an agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan on a new segment of border delimitation. The agreement includes initiating work from the northern section at the intersection of the Armenia-Azerbaijan-Georgia borders and proceeding southward to the Armenia-Azerbaijan-Iran borders.
