At the Giant Slalom event of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, held in Saalbach, Austria, Armenia’s national team leader, Gleb Mosesov, successfully passed the qualification stage and advanced to the final, joining the world's top 50 skiers.
Mosesov is the first-ever Armenian athlete to qualify for the finals of a World Ski Championship.
He placed 23rd out of 133 competitors representing 59 countries, according to the Armenian Ski Federation.
Another member of Armenia’s national team, Harutyun Harutyunyan, finished 58th in the competition.
