IRANIAN EMBASSY IN ARMENIA DENIED TURKISH SOURCE REPORT ABOUT TRANSFER OF KURDISH GUERILLAS TO ARMENIA THROUGH IRANIAN TERRITORY

The embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Armenia has denied “Aksham” Turkish newspaper report that an agreement was allegedly reached between the Kurdistan Workers party and official Teheran about transferring Kurdish guerillas to Armenia through Iranian territory. As the Iranian embassy reported to “Arminfo” agency, the Turkish newspaper article about the alleged consent of the Iranian special services to contribute to Kurds in creation of the Kurdish Republic on the territory of Lachin, is a total-lot lie. According to the newspaper, several bases of the PKK operate in Iran. The source also allegedly maintains that leader of the Kurdish liberation movement Abdula Ojalan’s brother reached an agreement with official Teheran to transfer PKK members to Georgia, and another 28 guerillas – to Armenia through Iranian territories.
