CSTO reports attempts to steal staff data

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has reported attempts of external interference in its operations, including efforts to steal personal data of its Secretariat staff. This was stated in a press release published on the organization’s official website, citing the CSTO Secretariat’s Information and Public Relations Department.

"The Information and Public Relations Department of the CSTO Secretariat informs about increasing attempts to interfere with the organization’s operations through unauthorized access to its information resources, as well as the theft of Secretariat staff’s personal data for the purpose of provocations and fraudulent activities. Necessary measures to protect the information are being taken," the statement reads, according to TASS.

The organization also emphasized that, in light of these developments, only verified official sources should be used when seeking information about the CSTO’s activities.
