The Armenian Weightlifting Federation has announced the national team rosters for the upcoming World Championships.
Six male lifters will compete in the event, held in Fjord, Norway: Garnik Cholakyan (60 kg), Gor Sahakyan (71 kg), Suren Grigoryan (88 kg), Simon Martirosyan (110 kg), Garik Karapetyan (110 kg), and Varazdat Lalayan (+110 kg).
From the women’s team, only Anna Amroyan will take part in the championships.
The head coach of the men’s team is Pashik Alaverdyan, with Hakob Pilosyan as coach. The women’s team is led by Artashes Nersisyan, with Taron Tovmasyan as coach.
The World Championships will take place October 2–11.
