Malkhas Amoyan, member of Armenia's Greco-Roman wrestling team, Olympic bronze medalist, world champion, and four-time European champion, has become a two-time world champion.
At the World Wrestling Championships in Zagreb, Croatia, Amoyan competed in the 77 kg weight category final against Japan’s Nao Kusaka, the reigning Olympic gold medalist from the 2024 Games. Amoyan delivered a dominant performance, winning with a decisive 10:1 score, Armenpress reports.
Amoyan also earned a bronze medal at Paris 2024 and has won the European Championship title four times—in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. His first world title came in 2021.
