Grandmaster Levon Aronian, competing under the U.S. flag, continues his run in the Grand Chess Tour finals taking place in Brazil.
In the second classical round, Aronian played with the white pieces against Fabiano Caruana. The game ended in a draw on the 26th move, Armenpress reports.
The first classical match between the two grandmasters, held on September 29, also concluded in a draw after 37 moves.
In the next stage, Aronian and Caruana will compete in the rapid chess rounds, which consist of two games.
The Grand Chess Tour finals will continue through October 4.
