For the first time, an Armenian has been elected to the Parliament of Netherlands. Ani Zalinyan secured a parliamentary seat following the October 29 national elections in the Netherlands, according to the Dutch Diary Facebook page.
She was nominated by the GroenLinks–PvdA alliance. Her election is seen as a significant step forward for diversity and inclusion.
