At the beginning of the week Abramian paid return visit. After the meeting Tkachev has stated the talks let resolve disagreements. “We managed to make the situation clear. Armenians have been residing in the Krasnodar Territory for over hundreds of years and have already joined the Kuban mentality. Normal people live here and we value concord”, stated he. The governor stated he had never had planes regarding the deportation of Armenians. So he renounced the calls, with which vice-governor Leonid Baklitski had spoken in the name of the Territory’s administration at the March meeting in Abinsk. “I did not say this and this will never happen”, Tkachev said at the joint press conference with Ara Abramian.
