Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu has stated that the 3+3 format should be reactivated in the South Caucasus. He made the remarks at a meeting of security council secretaries from CIS countries.
According to APA, Shoigu stressed that opening regional transportation routes is of fundamental importance.
He also noted that overall, the situation in the region has shown positive developments.
The 3+3 format includes Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia, Iran, and Turkey. While Georgia has not participated in past meetings, officials have consistently stated that the door remains open for Tbilisi’s involvement.
