Canadian parliamentary deputy Sarkis Asatrian, who is in Yerevan included in the delegation of the Canadian lawmakers, has informed at the press conference that he makes maximum efforts in order the Armenian genocide in Ottoman Turkey to be recognized by Canada. Asatrian has noted the deputy group of the Canadian-Armenian friendship headed by him always lobbies the idea of the genocide recognition in the parliament. The group also actively assists in strengthening of economic relations between the two countries. The visit of the group of the Canadian parliamentarians to Armenia will let plan the most perspective direction of the partnership. This is, first of all, jeweler’s art and the high-tech sphere. At the present time, about 50 joint Armenian-Canadian enterprises have been registered, but only 20 act.
