Vicente del Bosque to continue fine-tuning his team

Spain soccer team coach Vicente del Bosque said his team will come out into the field to win.

“I will now be aiming to continue fine-tuning his side and look for alternatives in his main starting XI in anticipation of possible injuries to his key men before the finals itself next June,” he said.

Armenia are already well out of contention for the play-off spots, but their result against the Spaniards in Yerevan could yet determine one more pressing issue in the group: whether or not Turkey and Bosnia can finish as one of the best eight runners-up. Should Armenia lose both their remaining two games, then they will finish bottom of the group and neither the Turks nor the Bosnians will be able to use results against them to influence the outcome of the play-off rankings.

“Turkey have always been good fighters and I will not surprise if Argentina or Portugal fail to break through to the play-off,” del Bosque said.

Spain soccer team will spend in Armenia two more days after the match to prepare to rival Bosnia.
