The second congress of «Union of Armenians of Russia» Russian non-governmental organization opened in Moscow today. Armenian Parliament Speaker Armen Khachatrian left for Moscow to participate in the forum. 160 delegates representing the Union branches in over 60 Russian regions take part in the convention. The congress is to discuss the prospects of cooperation with state and commercial structures of Russia. In the words of the organization President Ara Abrahamian, the Union uses every opportunity to strengthen Russian-Armenian economic ties and to intensify the stream of Russian investments to Armenia. In Abrahamia ‘s words, this can stop the migrant flow from Armenia. Ara Abrahamian emphasized that the Union presenting the interests of the two million Armenians of Russia was ready to join the state and commercial organizations of the country to solve global social-economic problems.
