Some 120 deputies of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe seconded the initiative of the Armenian party to discuss the resolution on recognition of the Armenian Genocide in 1915 in PACE. In his words, the campaign of gathering the signatures will also continue in the course of PACE April session. “We intend to carry out serious explanatory work with the political forces presented in PACE to let our European colleagues make a deliberate decision on the question and not just participate in the vote,” – Hovhannisian stated.
