The Armenian population of Akhalkalaki Georgian region comes against withdrawal of the 62-nd Russian military base from the region. “Mediamax” agency reports this was stated in the course of the region residents’ meeting with Chairman of the Georgian Parliament Nino Burjanadze. The representatives of the Armenian community noted that the presence of the Russian military there contributes to stability of the Georgian region bordering with Turkey.
