The Russian party is ready to manage the Armenian atomic power station and secure its operation. Nikolay Platoshkin, Chief of the department of South Caucasian countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry stated it in State Duma today, appearing at the fourth session of Armenian-Russian interparliamentary commission on cooperation. According to the report of “Arka” agency, in the Russian diplomat’s words, at present all the preconditions for secure running of the station are present. “Closing the Armenian nuclear power plant would mean suspension of the economic life of Armenia,” – N.Platoshkin considers.
