MOSCOW SATISFIED WITH DYNAMICS OF DEVELOPMENT OF POLITICAL RELATIONS WITH ARMENIA

The meeting with the head of the Armenian foreign department gave an opportunity «to specify the approaches to a number of the international problems and some aspects of the bilateral relations.» Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov stated it in Moscow upon completion of the meeting with his Armenian counterpart Vardan Oskanian, who is in the Russian capital on an official call. In Ivanov’s words, 10 years of diplomatic relations are a serious term, which lets exchanging opinions on a number of questions concerning the cooperation between the two countries. Russia is satisfied with the dynamics of development of political relations with Armenia, the Russian Minister stressed. In his turn the head of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that in the course of the time, which had passed since establishing diplomatic relations, «strategic partnership relations necessary for Armenia» were established between Moscow and Yerevan. Oskanian called the contacts with the Russian partners «important and useful, taking into consideration the constantly changing situation in the Caucasus and the role of Russia in the region.»
