The US government has given $49.8 thousand implements for survival in emergencies to the Armenian Red Cross Association. Within the framework of humanitarian program of the European command of the US armed forces, warm clothes, boots, field ovens and other implements will be supplied to Armenia. As US Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary to Armenia John Ordway noted at the ceremony of the passing of the implements “Disasters might happen any time and the readiness for them has a great importance”. He emphasized that the cooperation in the sphere of the preparation for the emergencies would allow to cope with their consequences. At the same time the Ambassador wished “the implements would be used only for training”.
