The possible return of Turks-Meskhetins to Samthkhe-Javakhetia could cause tension in this region of Georgia. As “Mediamax” agency reports, OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, Ambassador Rolf Ekeus has stated this. He has emphasized that Armenian population of Javakhetia is in economic, political and informational isolation. “Armenian newspapers and the Russian military base in Akhalkalaki are the only informational sources for the population of the region”, Rolf Ekeus has emphasized.
