ARMENIA SECOND IN CIS IN INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION GROWTH RATE IN JANUARY 2002

Armenia became the second in CIS in the industrial production growth rate in January 2002. “Arka” agency reports referring to CIS Statistical Committee that Armenia, where the growth made 7.1%, only yields to Kazakhstan, where the indicator makes 13.2%. The production growth was also registered in Moldova (6.1%), Georgia (5%), Russia (2.2%) and other countries. Decline in industrial production was registered in particular in Azerbaijan (2%).
