FOUR NEW MEMBERS JOIN CONGRESSIONAL CAUCUS ON ARMENIAN ISSUES

Four American lawmakers joined the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues that is actively cooperating with the US Armenian lobby. As press service of Armenian Assembly of America reports Congressmen James Barcia (D-MI), Vernon Ehlers (R-MI), George Miller (D-CA) and Fred Upton (R-MI) this week joined the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues. So the four new Caucus members bring the total number to 111. It is the largest Armenian Caucus since its creation in 1995. The Armenian Caucus co-chaired by Congressmen Joe Knollenberg (R-MI) and Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) has focused on recognition of the 1915 Armenian genocide, development of the U.S.-Armenia and U.S.-Karabagh relationships, ending the Turkish and Azerbaijani blockades of Armenia and Nagorno Karabagh.
