ARMENIA READY TO JOIN CONSTRUCTION OF TRANSPORT CORRIDOR TO CONNECT RUSSIA WITH IRAN AND INDIA

The Governments of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have already confirmed their readiness to join realization of the project of creation of a transport corridor to connect Russia with Iran and India. Iranian Ambassador to Russia Golyamreza Shafei stated it at a press conference held in Moscow. In his words, creation of such a corridor will activate the economic cooperation between the countries of the region. Commenting on the version that forming a political alliance between Moscow, Peking and Delhi will become the next step, the diplomat stated that “a long way should be passed” to realize such a plan. “Arminfo” agency reports, at the same time he stressed that such an alliance would contribute to developing the region.
