The foreign ministry of Armenia has not received official information on the abolition of the discriminating in respect to Armenia visa regime established in May, two years ago. It should be reminded, the other day, under the US pressure, Turkey’s leadership stated about their decision to mitigate the visa regime for Armenian citizens. The strict measures taken as an answer to the expanding scope of the 1915 genocide fact international recognition campaign were that Armenian citizens had to get entry visas to Turkey not at the border but in Turkey’s Embassies in any country. This measure was abolished in 2002 and the previous regime was introduced.
