The CIS states antiaircraft defense troops training called “Military Cooperation-2003” is being held in Kaliningrad region. As reported by the Russian sources according to the press service of the Russian air forces, the exercise is conducted within the framework of the scheduled combat duty performance with the participation of the representatives of the armed forces of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kirghisia, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The first stage of the exercise is being held at the training ground in Kaliningrad region these days, the second will be conducted in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan July 5 – August 20, the third one will take place at the training area of Ashuluk in Astrakhan region August 20-29. The defense ministers of the above-mentioned 7 CIS states will see the course of the last stage.
