220 players in 4 age categories – under 10, 12, 14 and 16 – take part in the Yerevan junior chess championship at the Tigran Petrosian House of Chess. Based on the outcomes of the championship, which is qualifying, 26 chess players will be allowed to compete at Junior Championships of Armenia to be held from April 13 to 22.
As Anushavan Arakelyan, international arbitrator and the championship’s chief arbiter told PanARMENIAN.Net, Yerevan Chess Championship will continue until February 7.
