Taking into consideration the current situation in the world, now it is inexpedient to raise the question regarding the recognition of the fact of the genocide of Armenians in Turkey by the US Congress. Deputy chairman of the administration of Ramkawar-azatakan party Yerwand Azatyan stated this at the press conference in Yerevan. According to him, the congressmen cooperating with Armenian lobby organizations think that the atmosphere after September 11 will not allow to achieve the passing of the resolution that categories the 1915 events as genocide. At the same time Azatyan said that the question of the recognition of the genocide would be necessarily raised again at any convenient moment.
